Coffee is not just for drinking for Giulia Bernardelli.
Coffee spills are quite annoying as they are sometimes difficult to clean. But one artist turned this problem into something beautiful. Instead of wiping off the spill, she created incredible artwork from it, and the results are simply amazing.
Giulia Bernardelli, better known as Bernulia in her Instagram account, revealed that her creativity in turning coffee spills into art comes from spur-of-the-moment imagination. The 27-year-old Italian artist, who earned her bachelor’s degree from the Academy of Fine Arts of Bologna, shared that her coffee spill artwork all started a year ago when she accidentally spilled coffee on the table.
Giulia Bernardelli said:
“Everything that I needed was around me if I looked carefully. I decided to replace the paintbrush with what nature offered, such as leaves, fruit skins, food. All these elements feature different colors and textures.
I never plan my work in advance. For example, when I drink coffee, I reflect on the nuances that I could create if I turned it over on the table.”
Giulia Bernardelli shares her “spilled artwork” on Instagram, where she has over 90,000 followers. Check her out.
