They deserve to be called Wonders of the World.

When we talk about Wonders of the World, people will easily think along the lines of the New Seven Wonders of the World or the Ancient Wonders of the World. After all, places and monuments included in the foundation-organized list didn’t make there for no reason.

But our Earth still offers more than just seven gorgeous places waiting to be discovered. Those who have gone to these parts of the world are just lucky enough to have seen what nature can offer up-close.

Here are 20 wonders of the world that should be included in your bucket list.

#1. Neuschwanstein Castle, Germany

This castle in Germany is the epitome of fairytale castles. The building was not built during the time when castles are needed as a fortified structure to house nobles. It is one of Europe’s most frequented castles of today.

#2. Easter Island, Chile

This Chilean volcanic island gained its fame from different archaeological sites, but most notable is the monumental statues commonly called moai, or gigantic human heads, which was created by Rapa Nui inhabitants between 10th and 16th centuries.

#3. Christ the Redeemer, Brazil

The humongous statue that sits atop Rio de Janeiro’s Corcovado mountain was created by French sculptor Paul Landowski and erected by Brazilian engineer Heitor da Silva Costa and French engineer Albert Caquot. Christ the Redeemer is currently in the list of the New 7 Wonders of the World.

The Great Wall is over 2,300 years old and is also included in the New 7 Wonders of the World. Almost 1/3 of the Great Wall has disappeared without any remains.

Out of the three pyramids at El Giza, Egypt, the Great Pyramid, also known as Pyramid of Khufu, is the largest and oldest standing pyramid that is still mostly intact. It is one of the original members of the Ancient Wonders of the World. It has been given an honorary status.

This Underground River in Palawan is located in the Saint Paul Mountain Range. It is included in the New 7 Wonders of Nature. To get to the site of the underground river, one must need to take a boat ride or take an adventurous hike from the town of Sabang.
