Bride Without Girlfriends Asked Her Guy Friends To Pose As Bridesmaids Instead

A girl will always have her own group of real friends whom she can comfortably be herself. This friendship will likely blossom to adulthood and most likely, a girl would have her friends show up as bridesmaids to her wedding. But what if a girl doesn’t really have girlfriends?

24-year-old Rebeca Abrantes didn’t have women in her life she considers her real friends who were deserving enough to act as the bridesmaids to her wedding. What she did instead is to invite her male friends and have them pose as her bridesmaids.

The Brazilian computer engineering student is one of the only four women in a class that is comprised of 60 students. But even with that very few number of women in the class, she didn’t consider them much as her friends to give them special roles on her big day. She met and made friends with great guys instead, who agreed to do a bridesmaid photoshoot with her.

So she had her best guy friends act as her bridesmaids…

And they did this clever and cute photoshoot.

A week before her wedding, Rebeca was browsing online for last-minute ideas for a bridal photoshoot. Rebeca felt jealous seeing photos of brides having a great time with their girlfriends knowing that she doesn’t have any.

But that didn’t stop her from pushing through with the better idea of having her guy friends for a photoshoot recreating girly moments shared by the bride and her friends.

"I came up with the idea one week before the wedding."

"I was looking into some 'making of' pictures of brides with their gang of girls, all in robes, laughing, drinking champagne and all…"

" and I got a bit sad because I wouldn’t be able to do anything like that."

Good thing Rebeca has this awesome guys around.

Once the shoot was complete, Rebeca posted the photos on her Facebook under the album “The Making Of.” The bride-to-be never expected that it will go viral as the photos eventually got featured by Bored Panda and many other websites.
