Russian Artist Illustrates Spongebob Squarepants Characters As Humans

If you’re a Nickelodeon fan, then you surely know who lives in a pineapple under the sea. Yup, that square yellow dude that everybody loves! But Polly, a 17-year-old Russian artist, has recently posted a series of reimagined Spongebob Squarepants characters. From Spongebob himself to Plankton and Karen – our favorite characters combined with Polly’s drawing skills make a great result.

Viewers of the popular animated television series are very familiar with how each of the characters looks like: SpongeBob Squarepants is a talking sponge with square pants, Patrick Star is a clueless starfish, Sandy is a karate-loving squirrel, Squidward is a grumpy squid, Mr. Krabs is a money-obsessed crab, and more! But if you have ever caught yourself wondering how these characters would look if they were humans, Polly illustrated this curiosity for you. Check out her detailed drawings below!

SpongeBob Squarepants

The artist captures SpongeBob’s trademark approachable nature. The fry cook of the Krusty Krab always has a smile on his face, and his human version is just as charming.

Patrick Star

Patrick loves food, especially Krabby Patty. He’s carefree and always blissfully unaware of his surroundings.

Eugene Harold Krabs

Mr. Krabs’ love for money pushed him to be a very hardworking (and cheap) businessman.

Squidward Tentacles

Squidward is almost the opposite of SpongeBob. While SpongeBob is always cheerful and optimistic, Squidward is a loner and usually sees the glass half empty.

Sandy Cheeks

Sandy is incredibly bright, outgoing, and athletic, but she’s also very girly at the same time.

Pearl Krabs

Pearl is Mr. Krabs’ only daughter. She is a typical teen who enjoys cheerleading.

Plankton and Karen

Plankton and Karen are a very odd couple in the Nickelodeon series, and it’s fun to see that they’re still a strange duo as humans.
