1. Avoid harmful pesticides.

This is certainly a no-brainer. Synthetic pesticides, fertilizers, and herbicides can get rid of pests but also be dangerous to bees.

The best option is to look for organic alternatives and spray pesticides at night when bees are not active. You can avoid chemicals in the neonicotinoid family, which is especially harmful to bees.

2. Add more green to your surroundings.

One of the reasons why bee populations are declining is the lack of habitat. However, you can help by adding more plants around you.

You don’t need a lot of space for these plants. You can easily add a few potted plants in your apartment or outside the house.

3. Build a home for bumble bees.
