Family Offering £40,000 for Nanny Who Will Dress Up As Disney Princess For Their 2 Kids

One family from Hertfordshire, UK has posted an interesting ad saying they are looking for a nanny willing to take care of their twin 5-year-old daughters – while wearing a Disney princess costume.

The ChildCare post, written by the mother, read:

“Myself and my husband are looking for a part-time nanny to care for our twin girls during the week, but we want to hire someone to look after our children whilst in character as a different Disney princess every month.

“Like most five-year-olds, our girls are obsessed with Disney and we feel this would be the best way to communicate some important values.


“We know this isn’t a normal request for nannies, however we think it would be a great way to teach our girls about things like determination, fearlessness and ambition from strong, yet relatable, female role models like Princess Tiana, Princess Anna, Belle and Cinderella.”

The ad further said:

“The ideal candidate for the role will need to be able to ‘commit to a character’ and create a fun atmosphere in the home – but can’t be afraid to discipline the children when they’re being ‘little terrors’.”

According to the mom, the nanny’s responsibilities would include picking the girls up from school, preparing Disney-themed activities, cooking dinner, and putting the twins to sleep. The nanny will only have to work 4 days a week.

The mom also said that candidates “must be looking for a long-term job as we want to keep the successful nanny in the girl’s lives for the foreseeable future.”

The salary will be up to £40,000 (around US$53,000) a year and, yes, the parents will cover all the Disney princess costumes for the job.

As the mom likewise mentioned:
