Vietnam Water Park Becomes Scene of Mass Sexual Assault Incident

Although most people would trade anything in exchange for a stolen piece of paradise either in the deep or a magnificent pool, this water park just might be the last resort you may want to plunge into.

Vietnam has always been known for its exquisite tourist destinations and closely-knitted relationship with nature. However, as another trademark was conceptualized with the hopes of being remembered by many, obviously, the water park’s management got a pretty modest in underestimating the end-results of their gimmick.

A popular water park called Ho Tay in Hanoi, Vietnam did the unexpected marketing strategy and held an “open season treat” from 8:00am -10:00am to the general public. As their gates opened, the number of guests crowded the whole area in just split seconds leaving almost no room for privacy and exclusivity, most especially for swimmers in various pool areas.

As the crowd multiplied, the management of the said park was later on forced to shut its doors due to overcapacity. However, the drama did not end there as irate guests including the young ones illegally climbed the gates just to trespass the park.

More so, rampant cases of indecent acts and public humiliation aired as swimmers were allegedly gropȇd and even stripped by male swimmers who dominated the pool areas. Victims shared that they were either splashed repeatedly with water or intentionally pulled down to the extent of being drowned while being touched in their private areas.

Some were even traumatized after either being circled by groups of men, stared at maliciously, ripped off of their swimsuits, and then “fīngered” underwater. Although attention was called for, no immediate assistance or regard was provided despite the alarming screams and shouts—no one ever came to their aid.

After the horrifying ordeal, some girls confessed their terrifying experiences and disgusts in various social networks:

1: We were holding onto the swim ring at the lazy river for about 3 minutes. Then we heard a commotion at the back, as we turned around we saw hundreds of boys crowded the whole river, screaming and going towards the three of us. I was shock and choked on water, many arms pushed my head down. I felt my breast and my private area being grab and touched, my behind was groped too. My bikini top was pull up to my neck and the bottom was pull till my knee. Even though i was choking, but i felt clearly someone was fīn****** me… My head was pressed down, I was out of breath and I thought I was going to drown. The water go up my nose to my throat. Those arms scratch and pull me up, my head hit the coping. Then there was people grab my hair, my arm to pull out of the swimming pool. I was coughing really hard I thought I was gonna die…

2: I was swimming in the lazy river with my friends. Behind us, all the boys kept splashing water like crazy, we were so freak out that all of us decided to go out of the river. As we just got out, one of my friend, who were still near the river, were pulled down and dragged to the centre of the river and was being splashed water and her head was pressed down. We saw our friend being surrounded by bunches of guys, we kept crying and called out: please help my friend, someone please help my friend. Around us, people kept on using phone to record and laugh like they were at the circus.

3: My sister went with her friends. When they came back, they were crying their eyes out. Their bikini top and bottom in disarray.

Meanwhile, some perverts also even bragged about their malicious and unethical acts online as if they deserved a standing ovation for a job well done. It was quite a surprise that when asked for a statement regarding the serious accusations and incident reports, the Vice Managing Director (VMD) reiterated that no brutality and violence against women ever took place.

“There was NO such thing as sexually assaulted at the water park, it’s just their bikini quality,” shared the VMD.
