Salesman Breaks Down In Public After Failing To Close Deal With Client

Flexible working hours and lucrative commissions are some of the perks of working as a salesperson. But what most people didn’t know is that these salesmen go through stress every single day.

While they look like they’re living an ideal and easy job, they do have to reach their quota or face the consequences of failure. In fact, the stress of being a salesperson left one man to break down in public after failing to close a deal with his client.

Recently, a heartbreaking incident involving a 25-year-old salesman has shed light on the ugly side of the career. Concerned citizens called pollice after they spotted the man laying on the ground in his own vomit.

As it turns out, the young salesman had been out drinking with a client. Even if he isn’t much of a drinker, he agreed to go out thinking that this would help him seal the deal. Unfortunately, that did not happen.

Cops asked him if he was drunk, he admitted to it and said that he had no choice. Suddenly, he started to break into tears and shared his struggles in his life.

One of the cops said:

“This young man is not a local. He came to Nanjing because of his wife. He told me that his family is not poor, but he never asked for any money from his family. Since he’s a salesperson, he was forced to drink with his clients in order to close the deal.”

The heartbreaking scene saw the salesman’s wife arrived a few minutes later. She then hugged her husband and comforted him as he kept apologizing to her, but she felt he had nothing to worry about. The wife told him that everything would be alright as they would find a solution to his problem together.

The incident was caught on camera and quickly made rounds on social media after it was posted. Following the footage going viral, many people expressed their sympathy and shared their experiences of having to put up with the stress at work and the high living cost.
