Meet the World’s Most Deadly Spider that Gives Four-Hour Erection

These Brazilian spiders are nocturnal creatures and they find places to hide during daytime. They can easily hide in houses and cars, which make them very dangerous.

Its scientific name is Phoneutria, which means “murderess” in Greek.

They are also known for building their webs on bananas. This is why a family in Britain was terrified to discover that the deadly arachnids could have taken residence in their home in Essex. Michaela Egan, a mother of two, discovered a white cocoon on a bunch of bananas she bought from Tesco.

The spider can weave its web on bananas.

“I started to get really freaked out when everyone was posting pictures and stories of the Brazilian wandering spider. It just looked like a brown bulge under the webbing but everyone was saying that’s what it was,” she said.

Michaela had every right to be concerned. She lives in the house with her two young children and her boyfriend. She could have easily included the banana in her daughter’s packed lunch.

It could have harmed the rest of her family as well. “The banana had been there for four days so anything could have happened, I’m really scared they’re in the house.”

She returned the banana to the store and was offered a refund for it. The banana was sent to the lab for testing.

Michaela Egan was terrified that the spider can harm her family.

Because of its effect, the spider’s venom is now being studied for use in treating erectile dysfunction.
