Single Dad Working as Delivery Rider Brings Son to Work

Working for a living during a pandemic is difficult. It is even more challenging for parents because they also have to care for their children. As individuals and families adjust to the weird new normal way of life, we have single parents who are struggling not only to make ends meet but also to juggle everything – just like this single dad from Taiwan. 

As the father of a 3-year-old boy, this man’s story is absolutely heartwarming yet heartbreaking. Only 24 years of age, Lin Juncheng, often brings his son with him whenever he hits the streets as a delivery rider.

Juncheng has been taking care of his little after he got separated from his wife. To support the child, the young dad works at a construction site during the day from 8 am to 5:30 pm. From 6 pm to 10 pm, he works as a food delivery rider for Uber Eats.

Unfortunately for Juncheng, deliveries can sometimes go beyond 10 pm and well into the morning.

According to reports from Dongsen News, Lele has gone with his father long enough to be so skilled at sitting while strapped on the back seat. However, since he often falls asleep, his father makes him sit in front for safety concerns.

With Juncheng working at least 14 hours on good days, he doesn’t have much time to spend with Lele. So despite the risks that come with bringing him along, he claims that it is worth the effort because “every parent is for his child.”

He also said that as long as Lele grows up happily, all the hard work will be worth it.

Netizens, on the other hand, couldn’t help but get worried about the little boy when their photos went viral on social media.
