Doctor Says Anti-Vaxxers Should Be Denied Ventilators or Intensive Care
- German geneticist Wolfram Henn suggested anti-vaxxers should be denied access to ventilators or intesnive care should they get sick.
- The doctor likewise assured the public about the quality and safety of the vaccines.
As the vaccines start rolling out in a bid to combat Covid-19, one of the major concerns remain: some people still do not want to get vaccinated.
Anti-vaxxers have different reasons why they oppose vaccines and it would be hard, if not impossible, to force them to get one even amid the pandemic.
One doctor from Germany, however, has a sharp message for them.
According to Geneticist Wolfram Henn, those who refuse to get a vaccine should required to carry a note that says exactly that. He likewise suggested people should be denied access to ventilators or intensive care if they ever get infected with coronavirus.
In an interview with Bild, Henn said:
“Whoever wants to refuse the vaccination outright, he should, please also always carry a document with the inscription: ‘I don’t want to be vaccinated! I want to leave the protection against the disease to others! I want, if I get sick, to leave my intensive care bed and ventilator to others.”
Dr Henn also blasted those bashing vaccines without any scientific basis. – just plain conspiracy theories.
He further added:
“I urgently recommend that these alarmists go to the nearest hospital and present their conspiracy theories to the doctors and nurses who have just come from the overcrowded intensive care unit completely exhausted.”
Henn likewise assured people about the safety of the vaccines when he spoke with WDR, pointing out that quality definitely wasn’t sacrificed.
“The speed didn’t come at the expense of quality and safety,” he emphasized. “The speed was made possible on the one hand by the administrative acceleration in the approval process and on the other hand by the fact that the pace was accelerated with enormous – also state-funded – effort. If you need 40,000 test subjects, then if there is no time pressure you can vaccinate 4,000 per year. Then you need ten years. Or – as it happened here – 40,000 within six months. There wasn’t skimp on quality.”
