We often hear stories of couples getting back together after a few years of being apart. Louis Demetriades and Renate Stumpf, who didn’t get in touch for 43 years, decided to give love another chance.

In 1959, the two met each other in Germany and soon fell in love. Eventually, the two got married.

Sadly, after 12 years of marriage, the couple made the decision to part ways.

It was only on December 2 last year that Demetriades opted to reconnect and pursue his lost love. On Valentine’s day this year, he took the opportunity to prove his love to his former flame.

While Stumpf was working on a regular shift at Walmart, Demetriades surprised her. It wasn’t just a regular visit for the old lover boy had a camera man with him.

It was indeed a very special day for the reconnected lovers as Demetriades proposed for marriage for the second time. Wondering if the old lady said yes?
