You don't need to buy a separate Polaroid camera or go to the developers to create tangible memories...
Wouldn’t it be great if there was a way to have a physical memento made in real time showing you, your loved ones, and friends enjoying a momentous event?
There’s a new French start-up in the digital market that offers a revolutionary way to create actual physical keepsakes of memorable occasions.
Its an innovative phone case that prints out images instantly straight from your smartphone.
Prynt allows users to turn their mobile phone into a mini-developer which churns out photos…
Using thermal zinc photo strips, not unlike a Polaroid camera, Prynt photos are both tear and smudge-resistant. Each time a user prints an image, the phone case embeds a hidden video that links to the Prynt app where it can be viewed over and over again.
All users need to do is to hold their phone over any Prynt-ed photo, and they can see the image come to life in augmented reality on their mobile’s screen.
Initially introduced via Kickstarter, Prynt began as a concept back in 2014 by its founders, former French engineers and photo enthusiasts, Clément Perrot and David Zhang. Today, with a staff of 20 based in San Francisco, Prynt is overturning the impression that people who take thousands of digital images each day are unlikely to print any of them.
The phone case is equipped with a host of other features, allowing users to digitally add text, stickers, frames, and filters to their images before reviewing and printing them out.
As of now, the revolutionary phone case with its interchangeable adapter system is compatible with the iPhone 6s, 6, 5s, 5c, 5, and Samsung Galaxy S5 and S4, but with the startup’s success, the company is likely to expand its production to include other mobile device brands.
While the Prynt phone case is currently available for $150 on the company’s website, it is reportedly planning to offer the product on Amazon, and is celebrating another month of its existence with a Valentine’s Day discount of $20!
