Very heartwarming! You gotta see his happy dance.
Sometimes the smallest act of kindness can go a long way. And it can be heartwarming when we get to realize the impact of a good deed we’ve done.
Take it from Kathy Ouma, who has made it a tradition to leave treats outside her home during the Christmas season. She’s been doing this for the past 4 or 5 years already and because of what happened recently, we’re sure she won’t be stopping anytime soon.
According to Kathy, the snacks on her front door are intended for delivery drivers who are working hard during the holidays.
An accompanying sign reads:
“Please take some goodies to enjoy on your route. Thanks for making holiday shopping easy.”
Little did she know, however, that her little basket of treats would be of great help for someone in need.
This Amazon delivery guy couldn’t believe his luck.
Amazon driver Karim Reed III was was doing his rounds that day when he found himself delivering a package at Kathy’s Middletown, Delaware home.
Much to his delight, a basket filled with bottled water, crackers, cookies, and sodas, among others, awaited for him at the front door.
In an interview with CNN, Reed confessed he forgot to bring his lunch for the day and so his energy’s been really low. And so Kathy’s free refreshments provided him a much-needed relief.
After getting some cookies, cracker, and water, Reed gladly returned to his truck, doing a little dance along the way.
Everything has been captured on Kathy’s door camera and the video has since gone viral, gaining millions of views on Facebook.
After hearing about his story, Kathy later commented:
“If I had known, I’d have left him lunch too.”
Kathy was also happy to find out that her act of kindness has encouraged other homeowners to do the same thing, as she has received messages from other countries such as Australia and England thanking her for her example.
