Bride Plays Along When Little Girl With Autism Mistakes Her For Cinderella

A so-called Cinderella has gone viral after she turned out to be a bit of a fairy godmother, granting a big wish to a little girl. Five-year-old Layla Lester has autism and is a huge Disney princess fan. Her mom says Layla saw Olivia Spark taking her wedding photos in a park and she thought the bride was Cinderella.

Wedding and wildlife photographer Nicole Wickins saw the moment unfolding and started snapping pictures. The sweet moment quickly made its way around the internet ever since.

Nicole said:

“Suddenly, this little girl ran up to Olivia shouting, ‘Cinderella, Cinderella!’”

Olivia was posing with her groom a.k.a Prince Charming at the time when Layla spotted her. Seeing the pure innocence and excitement on the little girl’s face, the bride took a break from their shoot to play Cinderella.

The newlywed played along and talked to Layla for several minutes before telling her, “Well, we’re going to the ball now. Okay?” The little girl then responded, “Bye! Have fun at the ball!”

The mother of the groom witnessed the sweet moment and took to social media to share that Olivia “was just so sweet with her [Layla] and just kept talking to her and asking her questions.”

Olivia said:

“I was flattered. I was in tears that she thought I was a princess, and it just made my day absolutely more amazing than what it already was.”

After her wedding day, Olivia’s family went on Facebook to try to find Layla’s family to share photos from their meeting. It took no time at all for the post to be shared far and wide, and for Layla and Olivia to be reunited, sparking a friendship that feels like it’s out of a fairy tale.

It’s not that hard to make someone happy. Sometimes, all you have to do is to find your inner princess.
