10-Year-Old Kid And Family Friend Cleaned Snow Off Hospital Workers’ Cars During A Storm

• 10-year-old Christian Stone came up with a nice project that brought smiles to doctors, nurses, and hospital staff members.

• According to Christian, he wanted to help the frontliners who have been working hard “through this whole pandemic.”

Sometimes, it’s the simple acts that prove to be the sweetest. Case in point, a 10-year-old boy and a family friend decided to bring smiles to hospital workers’ faces by cleaning the snow off their cars.

Christian Stone, 10, said he and Abbey Meeker, 29, “kind of made it a game” to make the activity fun. For them, this is one way they can express gratitude for all the hard work that frontliners do amid the pandemic.

Doctors, nurses, and staff members of the Westerly Hospital in Rhode Island were pleasantly surprised!

Each time a driver started or unlocked their vehicles, the two would run to the car and remove the snow.

According to Abbey, Christian came up with the idea during a snowstorm and she agreed to lend him a hand. “Christian is wise beyond his years. He’s my little partner in crime,” the longtime family friend proudly declared.

In an interview with the media, Christian shared:

“I was thinking they’ve been helping us a lot through this whole pandemic, and I figured why don’t we help them, you know? All day, every day the nurses here, they deal with the pandemic like Covid and they want to get home from work, so we thought we would make it a tiny bit easier for them by cleaning off their cars for them.”

Overall, they cleaned around 70 cars in 4 parking lots.

While they enjoyed doing the kind act, it definitely wasn’t an easy task as they had to change clothes twice because they got very wet during the process.

“If I had to do it by myself, I definitely would not have done it,” confessed Meeker. “But I knew how much it meant to Christian so I sucked it up.”
