The product claims to be the 'first colorless coffee drink in the world.'
We know, we know – clear and colorless coffee just doesn’t seem like real coffee. But brothers and CLR CFF co-founders, Adam and David Nagy, are set on making this a thing. The drink looks like water and supposedly tastes like coffee.
Plus, CLR CFF promises to not stain the teeth. According to reports, the product is the result of the brothers’ desire to have their caffeine fix without sacrificing their pearly whites.
The Nagy brothers haven’t shared much about how they made this coffee product clear and colorless. According to their website:
“This refreshing beverage is made from high quality Arabica coffee beans and pure water. It is produced by methods which have never been used before. Due to this combination of technology and high quality ingredients a drink has been developed which is unique in taste and flavour. Our product does not contain preservatives, artificial flavours, stabilizers, sugar or any other sweeteners.”
The staff of Metro UK got to try it, and here’s what they have to say:
“It’s odd but not unpleasant. In fact, it’s very drinkable.”
“Imagine making a caffeine of coffee and then forgetting to wash it out. The next day, you add cold water to get the very last dregs of flavour out of the wet beans – and that’s what this tastes like. Water…but an aftertaste of coffee.”
“It has the aftertaste of cheap wine and I can think of things I’d less rather drink. But it would taste delicious with a splash of rum.”
The product is reportedly currently available in some parts of the UK and Slovakia. You may also try ordering online through the CLR CFF website, but word is that delivery might take four weeks or more because of the surge in orders.
