I'm the size of his bicep. 'Nuff said.
A lot of people will exert an extraordinary amount of effort to look good. They will use diet, exercise, and even surgery just to get the ideal face and body. All for the sake of vanity.
But this dude has taken vanity to another level – he injects synthol, an oil-based substance, into his body parts to make them look more massive.
Valdir Segato, 48, a construction worker in Brazil, is sporting huge biceps measuring a mind-boggling 23 inches, thanks to painful injections of synthol. His physique has become quite a sight on the streets of Sao Paolo and people are calling him “Hulk” or “He-Man”.
Five years ago, his biceps measured 12 inches. Such measurement was already big by normal standards, but he wanted them bigger so he resorted to the harmful injections.
“They call me Hulk, Schwarzenegger and He-Man all the time and I like that,” Segato says.
“I’ve doubled my biceps but I still want to be bigger.”
I got involved with drugs and I started losing weight because you don’t eat, you lead a wrong life.”
Segato wasn’t satisfied with the results from exercise alone. So when someone from a gym offered synthol to him, his addictive personality soon made him hopelessly hooked. His biceps, chest, and shoulders have become recipients of the synthol injections.
From 55 kilograms, he bulked up to 80 kilograms. His friends have repeatedly warned him against the harmful effects and consequences of his habit.
“The oil thing is stupidity. He thinks it’s good and I’m a friend so I stay quiet, but deep down I want to tell him to stop but he doesn’t want to. He’s happy like that,” says his friend Fernando Carvalho da Silva.
“It’s the risk he takes – he wants to look good and wants to be famous.”
Still, even the threat of amputation didn’t deter Segato from achieving the bulk that he wants.
“The doctors tell me to stop it, the advice they give me is to stop using,” he says.
“But it’s my decision to use it because I want to, because I like to.”
One would think that his freakish muscles will cause women to make a beeline for him, but it’s actually the opposite of that; Segato admits that he is actually having a hard time getting the ladies.
I do get attention, but people seem to be scared to approach me, I think that’s the problem.”
He admits to getting strange looks from people and being made fun of children.
“The worst thing is when people stop you and call you an ugly thing. But I don’t care what people say, if I like myself, that’s enough.”
It’s not surprising to discover that Segato is still not satisfied with his size. He wants his biceps to reach 27 inches and is confident that his physique will earn him a career.
