"I looked at them and could see they needed a forever home."
A couple from Menifee, California adopted sevenkids despite already having five children of their own. Pam and Gary Willis made the big decision after learning about the heartbreaking story of the siblings. And they didn’t want to see them separated from each other.
According to the couple, they first read about the siblings on Facebook. In May 2018, their parents tragically died because of a car accident. In these instances, it’s highly likely that the siblings will be adopted by different sets of parents.
In a Metro interview, Pam shared:
“When I saw the news about the kids it made me so sad. I looked at them and could see they needed a forever home. I called the adoption service every week to show them how much I wanted to help these children.”
“From the moment we first met them it was instant love,” she added. “I looked at Gary and we both could see they are really great kids and knew we were doing the right thing.”
The Willis couple have five children together namely Sam, 19, Sophia, 22, Alexa, 26, Andrew 29, and Matthew 32. They have all moved out of the house.
Meanwhile, the orphans Xander, 4, Leo, 5, Aubriella, 6, Anthony, 7, Aleecia, 8, Ruby, 13, and Adelino, 15, are happy that they have been adopted by Pam and Gary.
“My older kids were very welcoming and treated the younger ones like their own,” shared Pam. “It is pretty full on looking after seven children so my older two daughters do help out whenever I need a hand.”
