"This money will really help pay for our wedding next year ."
Many plans have been ruined by Covid-19 this year. Case in point, Neil Crossland and his fiancé Laura had to push back their wedding to June of next year. But what seemed like a challenging moment for them turned into something fantastic when they luckily hit the People’s Postcode Lottery jackpot, winning £60,000 in prize!
It was totally unexpected and now they’re absolutely thrilled about preparing for their postponed event. Neil, who hails from Salisbury and works as an HGV driver, was informed by People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt about the big win.
Neil exclaimed:
“Oh amazing! That’s brilliant. I can’t take the smile off my face! I’m ecstatic and over the moon! This is like the day you dream about. You never think it’s going to happen. This money will really help pay for our wedding next year so Laura will be very pleased”!
Now preparations for the big event will be in full motion once again.
“The wedding will be in summer next year so we’re hoping the weather will be nice. Laura has organized most of it, so I’m sure she will have some extra things up her sleeve now,” added Neil.
In a report by the Daily Star, we learn that Neil and Laura got the prize as “part of People’s Postcode Lottery’s special October campaign, where one postcode is announced as a £30,000 prize winner every day.”
Apparently, the couple each had a ticket.
McCourt said about the couple’s luck:
“A huge congratulations to Neil and Laura! I hope they have the dream wedding they deserve and I’ll keep my fingers crossed that the sun shines for them on the big day.”
