Who would have thought that simple glitch on Facebook would lead a man to his great love?
It is not uncommon to hear heartwarming love stories which started in the social media giant, Facebook.
However, a couple’s accidental meeting on Facebook through a social media glitch is definitely one for the books.
Schuler Benson, a man from Arkansas, accidentally logged in to a female stranger’s Facebook account six years ago.
“I opened the browser, went to facebook.com, and wasn’t even given a chance to enter any login information. I was already logged in. I had to make several posts in order to find out I wasn’t logged into my own account,” he wrote on imgur.com.
It turned out, the account Benson was logged into belongs to a lady named Celeste.
Completely unknown to each other, they had no mutual friends both online and in real life. They had no common Facebook interests and were 1,000 miles away from each other since Celeste lived in Boulder, Colorado.
After figuring out the glitch, Schuler was able to log out. Meanwhile, Celeste decided to send him a friend request.
However, Celeste later confessed she had plans of deleting him on her list after a few days.
Soon, the two discovered they had a lot of things in common. After becoming friends online for several years, the two finally met in person in 2013.
By the fall of 2013, Celeste has come to live with Schuler in Arkansas.
In 2014, the couple got engaged and relocated to South Carolina. The lovebirds finally tied the knot on June 21, 2015.
Towards the end of his viral post on imgur.com, Schuler revealed that a simple social media glitch led him to find his great love.
“There are awful things in this world, but sometimes there’s beauty, too. This is my beauty,” he said.
