This Single Father Prepares A Heartwarming Surprise For His Daughter

There’s a saying that every daughter is looking for the imagery of their dad in their future husband. In that case, 11-year old Skylar Garmon will have to find the sweetest gentleman to resemble her daddy’s gestures. Jason Garmon embodies what a true gentleman is by preparing an elaborate setup just to ask his daughter to a father-daughter dance to be held in their town.

He asks for the help of his son Grayson to surprise Skylar, the one and only apple of the eye for these two gentlemen. Garmon had a mock outdoor dinner date setup complete with a signage asking “Will you go to the daddy-daughter dance with me?”. He even had a bunch of flowers to give the young lady.

The gentleman father explained in his facebook post why he went to such lengths just to ask his daughter to participate with him in the dance…

“Just because I’m her Dad doesn’t mean I’m going to assume she’ll go with me. You ask out a lady like it’s the first time every time. Always keep her guessing, always try to win her. I don’t care if it’s your daughter, your girlfriend or your wife, the day you stop trying is the day you’ll lose her.”

He even added that,

I had always planned on doing something like this for a woman but I realized the most important female that deserves my attention is already right here beside me”

And the end result? Of course Skylar said YES!

His facebook post of the pictures had gone viral and had been liked for more than 300,000 times! Some of the praises he received come from Daniel Hollifield who commented, “[Y]ou are rocking the single dad thing. You are setting the foundation for your kids’ future. They will always remember these small things you do. Your daughter will measure the future men in her life by the things you do for her. Those future guys have a lot to live up to. From one dad to another, you are doing an awesome job.”

And of course the gesture sits right with the ladies too with comments on Facebook such as “This has got to be the sweetest Daddy/Daughter moment I’ve seen!” wrote Michelle Gregory. “Wow. I just cried,” said Danielle King.
