Girl Scouts Paint Positive Quotes On School Bathrooms To Inspire Fellow Students

Six smart students took it upon themselves to do something productive during their summer vacation. While some of their classmates and friends went on trips or stayed home for a much-needed break from school, Caitlyn Sieg, Sophia Shafer, Rachel Thomson, Eliza Arguello, Rachel Thomson, Louis Prince, and Madison Graves aka Troop 4664, spent weeks brainstorming how to help inspire their fellow students.

Just like the classrooms and cafeteria, students go to school bathrooms almost regularly. This is the reason why the Girl Scouts came up with an idea to make the place more appealing.

“We thought a great idea would be to maybe help our old elementary school,” Eliza said.

The messages include “You are brave,” “Good vibes only,” ”Dream, Strive, Become,” “Drive with purpose,” “You are enough” and “Be humble and kind.”

Sophia said:

“Sometimes people have self-confidence and motivation to keep going and keep pushing, so we thought it would be good to help people early on in their life to be motivated and self-confident.”

“It’s like, you should always be kind to people even if they’re not nice to you,” Rachel said about what one of the quotes mean to her.

“I think my favorite quote is ‘Broken crayons still color,’” Caitlyn shared.

Madison revealed that the project was very expensive, but it was all worth it. After seeing the possibility of rebuilding the confidence of their fellow students, it’s enough for the girl scouts to realize that their effort was not put into waste.

The idea and the hours spent completing their project earned them the highest honor for a cadet and second highest honor overall.

Troop 4664 prove that there is more to girl scouts than selling cookies.

Louis said:

“Maybe somebody is upset, or something happened at home or at school, and they see that quote maybe it will boost their confidence or their happiness … When people think about Girl Scouts, they most stereotypically think of cookies, but we are much more than that. We like to inspire the people, make people’s day better and this was perfect for us as a troop to prove that.”
