Gorgeous Summer House Has A Pool On The Roof So You Get A Panoramic View Of The Ocean

We all dream of having a perfect summer house where you can truly relax during your vacation while enjoying the view. However, we’re also hoping for something practical that could save energy. Interestingly, a gorgeous summer house was designed to display both form and function. The house actually has a pool on the roof so you can get a panoramic view of your surroundings.

The ‘Summer House’ was designed by Anti Reality, a page that brings art and architecture together. The design itself features a concave roof which effectively becomes a large basin. On sunny days, the homeowner can fill the roof with water and turn it into a pool. This way, you can relax with a cold drink and watch the sunset over the sea.

According to Anti Reality, the goal with ‘Summer House’ is to “create a reverse version of a roof that can be adapted as a swimming pool.” The designer claims that “the roof structure is supported by 3 cores, two of them are the kitchen and bathroom” which will feature drainage pipes. “It’s very idealistic but there is a logic behind the concept,” they said.

The ‘Summer House’ is meant to be built in “a rocky seaside area with direct contact with water.” This way, the homeowner can enjoy a panoramic view of their surroundings.

The house’s interior is simple enough since it only has a bathroom, a kitchen, and a bedroom. The rooms themselves are inside “an open multi-functional space that serves among others as a living room and a dining room.”

The design certainly seems dreamy and private. However, Anti Reality also points out that ‘Summer House’ was created with the idea of being one with nature.

“One of the key design intents was to create a building that would be completely open to the surroundings, providing the possibility to observe and engage in direct contact with nature. The ‘Summer House’ has been designed with seasonal recreation and weekends outside the city in mind,” they said.
