Teen takes Washington Redskins Cheerleader to prom after 10k retweets.
Walt Disney once said, “All our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them.” This quote holds true, especially for one ordinary high school student from Glen Burnie, Maryland whose dream was to take a cheerleader to his school prom.
But, you see, Stephen Bieber wasn’t planning on inviting a regular cheerleader for the occasion. He wanted to ask the gorgeous Christa Aiken, a Redskins cheerleader, to be his date at the big spring formal dance at the Old Mill High School in Anne Arundel County.
So, the tenacious 17-year-old bravely and boldly reached out to Aiken on Instagram and asked her how many retweets he’d need for her to agree to go to the dance with him.
Aiken, who manages a fitness website and a member of the First Ladies of Football since 2012, replied to the teen’s comment, and so, the challenge was on!
At that time, Bieber only had 350 followers, but with the help of retweets from some NFL players including Terrance Knighton and Antonio Cromartie, the lad was able to get 10,000 retweets within five days.
Aiken kept her word and went out with Bieber to the prom on Saturday. The pair arrived in a fancy Rolls Royce.
Looking at the photos, it seems that Aiken also had a great time.
Dreams do come true, huh?
