5 of Your Favorite Hollywood Hunks Then and Now

Much has changed since we first saw them...

If you’re a fan of Hollywood movies, these good-lookin’ guys will need no introduction to you. You know their names, you’ve seen their movies, and, yes, you might have also wondered where they are now.

Although some of them are still active in the industry today, others have stayed away from the limelight for a considerable amount of time. Along the way, much has changed and most of them have become quite unrecognizable compared to the time when we first saw them.

1. Brendan Fraser

We all know Brendan Fraser as Rick O’Connell from the Mummy trilogy and, of course, as George of the Jungle.

Eventually, he had to undergo several surgeries for a period of seven years because of the action stunts he performed in his movies. He also claimed he was sexually assaulted by Philip Berk, president of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association. His marriage also ended and that, he believes, led to the decline of his career.

Today, he’s back in acting but mostly does supporting roles for different TV series such as Texas Rising, The Affair, and Doom Patrol.

2. Channing Tatum

Two of Channing Tatum’s iconic roles, of course, are Duke from the live action G.I. Joe franchise and as Mike of, well, the Magic Mike movies.

Tatum tied the knot with actress Jenna Dewan in 2009 after eeting her on the set of Step Up where they co-starred. In 2018, Dewan filed for divorce. The couple has one daughter.

3. Taylor Lautner

He’s most recognized for his role as Jacob Black in the Twilight Saga, a movie series based on the novels by author Stephenie Meyer. In 2010, he earned the #2 spot for Glamour’s 50 Sexiest Man of 2010 and #4 for People’s Most Amazing Bodies.

Fast forward to 2013, he joined the cast of the sitcom Cuckoo and starred as the son of the title character.

Lautner still lives with his parents and sister in California and has no plans of moving out anytime soon.

He shared in an interview:

“The thing I love is that my home life hasn’t changed. I still help out with the garbage. I still help out with the lawn.”

So far, he has dated fellow celebrities Taylor Swift, Lily Collins, Marie Avgeropoulos, and Billie Lourd.

4. Leonardo DiCaprio

Of course, the role that will always be most synonymous with DiCaprio would be Jack in James Cameron’s Titanic, which, to this day, remains as one of the highest-grossing films of all time.

His boyish charm captured everyone’s attention and he eventually took on more diverse roles by doing movies such as The Man In The Iron Mask, Catch Me If You Can, Gangs of New York, The Departed, Inception, The Wolf of Wall Street, The Revenant, and The Great Gatsby, among many others.

Aside from being an actor, DiCaprio is now known as a film producer and as an environmentalist.

5. Vin Diesel

He is Dominic Toretto in The Fast and The Furious franchise and the voice of Groot in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

He has also founded several production companies namely One Race Films, Racetrack Records and Tigon Studios.

When he’s not busy working, Diesel enjoys playing Dungeons & Dragons, a game he loves for more than 20 years now. In fact, he wrote the foreword for the book 30 Years of Adventure: A Celebration of Dungeons & Dragons.
