His story broke her heart and so she decided to do something.
Victor Hubbard was once a homeless man and he sat on the corner of Nasa Road and El Camino Real in Clear Lake, Texas every single day. For the past 3 years, local resident Ginger Sprouse has noticed him on the same spot and out of curiosity, she talked to him.
Ginger later learned about his story and it totally broke her heart. According to Victor, he suffers from severe mental illness and the big reason why he stays on the same place is that his own mother left him there three years ago.
Despite what happened, Victor is still hoping she’d show up one day.
Eventually, the woman, who turned out to be the owner of the Art of The Meal cooking school, decided to help the 32-year-old homeless man.
In an interview with KHOU, he remarked:
“She came around and she kind of saved me. She helped me. It’s like grace.”
Aside from his Facebook page, a GoFundMe page has also been created to help Victor on his expenses.
It’s stories like these that truly restore our faith in humanity. Good job, Ginger, for helping change Victor’s life for the better!
