There’s no better way to welcome the New Year than with a new look. So, during the first week of 2017, it may be a good idea for you to switch hairstyles.

A Refinery 29 feature cites celebrity hairstylist and creator of Ouai hair care Jen Atkin and Tresemmé stylist Jeanie Syfu. Both these hair experts say 2017 will be about making subtle tweaks to classic hairstyles.

In 2017, classic hairstyles get an edgy twist.

For her part, Deena Campbell of Allure emphasizes that people should not be be afraid to experiment with their hair. As such, in 2017, the projected hot hairstyles are based on classic cuts but with edgier twists or more polished executions.
