Hotel locks seem to be very easy to hack.
When going on a vacation, picking the right hotel is one of the key elements of having a successful and stress-free experience. You want to make sure that your chosen location has the amenities and facilities you need to ensure a comfortable stay. That way, you will be able to enjoy a place that truly promotes rest, relaxation, and fun.
Usually, many of these establishments provide quality security to ensure the well-being of their customers. And so we normally feel it’s best to leave our valuables behind as we go through our various activities.
After watching this video though, you might want to think twice about doing that.
Surprisingly, there are ways to unlock those seemingly hard-to-open doors. It didn’t even take the hackers a long time and that’s seriously scary, especially if you frequent hotels. I bet you’ll be a little paranoid the next time you stay in one.
So how do you keep your stuff safe? Of course, carrying all your valuables with you outdoors is out of the question but yes, there are some things you can do to protect your belongings.
First and foremost, check hotels with excellent reviews. Look for those that often receive positive feedback regarding security.
If there is a locker or an in-room safe, then take advantage of that. Those are usually more difficult for hackers to open. Otherwise, you may opt to leave some of your things at the front desk.
Another solution is to not bring unnecessary valuables (such as expensive jewelries) in the first place. You will not attract the attention of thieves and you’ll have fewer worries that way.
