Ines Kuš loves scaring people - using make up and body paint!
There is something about Ines Kuš’ body paint creations that will make you stop, stare, and, well, cringe a bit in fear. Besides, her twisted make up works are the stuff of nightmares!
Hailing from Zagreb, Croatia, the talented artist has recently been making waves online as people took notice of her unique talent. As a result, she now has thousands of followers on her Instagram account.
In a recent BoredPanda feature, Ines said that she has been a “big fan” of conceptual and surreal art form since she was a college student.
She shared:
“All my life I had a need to express creativity in different forms of art such as photography, fashion design, and drawing, but in face paint, I found the most joy and fulfillment. My inspiration mostly comes from my environment and the way I feel at the moment/my emotions.”
So why did she eventually focus on body art? The Croatian artist explained it this way:
“What I find most interesting about face paint is that it’s original form (on face and body) it only lasts until you wash it off, so it is kinda ‘fragile’ art form. Also it is very challenging to paint on bumpy canvas such as human face.”
Since then, she’s been attempting to catch “people’s attention with illusion tricks” that are both provocative and bizarre – some of which require her up to 12 hours to finish.” Once you start to paint, there is no way back. You have to finish,” she confessed.
So without further ado, here’s more of Ines Kuš’ “tied up/twisted illusion make up”, as she likes to call it.
