There is little doubt that Joe Jonas is one of the luckiest men in the world. After all, he’s married to Sophie Turner. However, it looks like Jonas may have some trouble telling his own wife apart from her body double on the set of Game of Thrones. Turner has just revealed that her husband actually tried to kiss the woman because they look too much alike.

Sophie Turner recently revealed that her photo double who looks so much like her that even the cast and crew of Game of Thrones often mistake them for each other. But just how similar are the two women? As Turner admitted, her own husband actually tried to kiss the body double on the set.

Turner shared the embarrassing story when she was a guest on the Smallzy’s Surgery podcast. She said:

On Game of Thrones, I had a photo double that people would do double takes at because she looked so much like me,. It was insane. Even Joe went up to her at one point and tried to give her a kiss, and then he was like, ‘Oh, sorry, sorry! It’s not Sophie!’

The woman in question is Laura Butler, a student based in Belfast. She served as Sophie Turner’s stand-in and photo double on the Game of Thrones set during the shooting of the final season.

Butler looks so much like Turner that some ‘Game of Thrones’ crew members mistakenly congratulated her on Turner’s engagement.

Butler’s job requires her to stand in during rehearsal so the crew could set up the camera angles and get the lighting right. She also stands in for Turner during far away shots wearing Sansa Stark’s costume when the Dark Phoenix star wasn’t on set.

Unlike Turner, who is a blonde, Butler is a natural redhead.

We can’t really blame Joe Jonas for mistaking Butler for his then-girlfriend. Luckily, he realized the error before planting a big kiss on Turner’s double.
