I never thought stoneworks can be so beautiful!
Walls and pavements are built for a functional purpose. We step on it, lean on it and sometimes sit on it.
But if stone walls look more like works of art, we don’t know if we can ever recall why it is installed there in the first place.
Meet Johnny Clasper, a stonemason and sculptor based in the UK. He creates stunning stone art that is not only functional, but beautiful as well. The range of what he can do is highly varied — from dry stone, to free-form sculptures to pebble mosaics.
He has been in the business of stone art for about a decade, but his passion for the craft seems to never dwindle. His work has been featured in several blogs and in the Yorkshire Post.
Here are just some of Johnny’s masterpieces. Enjoy!
