Julien Knez, a photographer from Paris, France, recently went viral online after his work received a lot of love from netizens across the world.
What makes Julien’s stuff interesting is how he incorporates old photos in them. They’re really fascinating! In a BoredPanda post, Julien said he “found photos of Paris taken between 1871 and 1968, and then photographed the same site from the same angle.”
He eventually published the awesome collection of old, new photos in a book entitled “Paris, Fenêtres sur l’Histoire” under the publisher Parigramme.
Julien further shares:
“When historical photographs are inserted into contemporary settings, we open astonishing windows to the past. More than ever, the inquisitive contemporary spectator is plunged into the depths of time, as if given the opportunity to stroll on different stages, at the heart of history in the making.”
