Pokemon Go + dinosaurs = 1 epic game!
Dinosaur enthusiasts, pay attention. It looks like you will finally get the chance to catch some dinosaurs, Pokemon Go-style, with an upcoming new game from Ludia – and it’s going to be called Jurassic World Alive, after the popular dinosaur franchise.
According to reports we’ve gathered online, Jurassic World Alive is a mobile, location-based game that allows players to collect dinosaurs from different parts of the world.
A short description on Google Play tells us the game’s main objective:
“As a brand new member of the Dinosaur Protection Group, your mission is to save dinosaurs from a second extinction. Explore your surrounding area to find your favorite dinosaurs, including new breeds that are more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before.”
Unlike Pokemon Go that requires you to be physically active, Jurassic World Alive players can use a digital drone to patrol an area to spot any dinosaurs nearby.
“Players can track the animals with the in-game drone and collect DNA samples needed to level up,” reported The Star, “and even create their own hybrid creatures.” The players can then assemble a strike team for a real-life fight with other players’ dinosaurs.
It is expected that Jurassic World Alive will be available for Android and iOS users before June 22 – which is the release date of new movie “Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom” starring Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard.
Meanwhile, users who pre-register over at the Apple App Store or Google Play will be able to receive a free gift upon the game’s launch.
Sounds exciting, you say? You bet it is! I’ve always loved dinos so I know I’ll definitely keep my eyes peeled for this mobile game.
