A dog from Batumi, Georgia has captured the hearts of netizens everywhere after exhibiting the extraordinary talent of helping school children safely cross the streets each day. In fact, the dog has become an internet celebrity of sorts and he now has dedicated social media pages where fans can find him online.
He’s really amazing. And you have to see the video to believe it!
Kupata, whose name literally translates to “Sausage,” is a well-loved dog from Georgia who helps young kids across the pedestrian crossing. As can be seen in the footage below, he barks at the vehicles as his way of telling them to stop. Plus he walks side by side with the kids to assist them along the way.
According to a Bored Panda report, Kupata “basically works as a full time traffic office” since he does this daily.
A resident said about the awesome dog:
“He takes his job very seriously. And sometimes he waits for children for one hour, to make sure that they feel safe in the park and they cross the street safely.”
Moreover, we also learned that the Department of Tourism and Resorts of Ajara awarded the pooch with a doghouse. Plus he also got his own “People’s Choice” star!
On top of that, he was also painted on the wall of a building in the town.
