Man Scared of Matching With Siblings On Dating Apps Because His Dad Donated Sperm 500 Times

When Zave Fors discovered that his father “sold his sperm 500 times”, it made a huge impact on his dating life – he now hesitates to meet people on dating apps because he might end up matching and sleeping with a sibling.

The 24-year-old has managed to track down eight of his siblings through the years. Since he has no idea how many of them they are out there, it makes him more scared that he might end up having sex with one of them.

After Dave took a DNA test, he discovered that one of the guys he went to school with, Daron McLennan-Colon, was actually his brother. Zave approached Daron via social media.

Zave, who was aware that he was donor-conceived, discovered his father on Ancestry.com. He also found out that he has a sister living just down the road.

The two men even had memories of them of their school days, but they never knew of their biological link.

Zave said that not knowing how many siblings he has has damaged his dating life.

“When I’m swiping around on Tinder, I don’t really know who’s related to me or not.”

“There will always be a spectre of unknown lingering over me in intimate relationships. Short of genetically testing all of my partners, I will never have 100 percent certainty that we are not related.”

“People say incest is statistically unlikely but isn’t it unlikely that I went to school with my half-brother?”

Zave was two years ahead of Daren in school so people were saying that the likelohood of accidental incest is low. Still, he has to live in a continuing state of apprehension.

He also said that his other siblings – two of them lived within two blocks of each other – had similar experiences.

After Zave decided to discover his father’s identity, he also became determined to track down the rest of his biological family.
