It's so huge you'll feel like you have your own little suburb!
Have you ever wanted to own a mansion that belonged to a legendary celebrity? If you have a cool $115 million stashed away somewhere, you could purchase a gorgeous estate that once served as Marilyn Monroe’s secret hideaway in Los Angeles.
The Owlwood Estate is a gigantic nine-bedroom mansion located in an exclusive Los Angeles neighborhood that has housed several celebrities. It covers 10 acres of land and boasts of a massive swimming pool. Needless to say, it’s an amazing property that is the perfect getaway for the rich and famous.
The mansion, with its nice Italian Renaissance-style, was designed and constructed by architect Robert D. Farquhar back in the 1930s. Not surprisingly, its beautiful look had made it a coveted location for the stars.
Although it is known for being Marilyn Monroe’s favorite home, the Owlwood Estate has also housed Sonny Bono and Cher in the 1970s. The celebrity couple lived in the mansion while they were still filming their TV show. Interestingly, they even stayed in the estate after they had split up, choosing to live in separate wings of the property.
So just how big is the Owlwood Estate? The mansion has ten bathrooms, a guest house and even staff quarters – if you have an army of people working for you. In addition to that, there are regal marble fireplaces, crystal chandeliers, hand-carved mantles and 24-karat gold fixtures and fittings.
Are you interested in owning a home fit for a diva? The Owlwood Estate is currently listed at $115 million.
