Married Couple Waiting to Have Kids Didn’t Know They Had To Engage in Intercourse In Order to Make One

You would think that anyone who is old enough to think would know that one must have sex in order to create kids. Common sense, right? But apparently, this is not the case as a married couple had been waiting for years to have babies but didn’t know they need to actually do the deed!

It sounds bizarre but it’s true. Rachael Hearson, who has worked with the UK’s National Health Service, encountered this weird case when she personally assisted a couple years ago, way before the internet age.

Hearson had to talk about the birds and the bees to the clueless couple.

The 59-year-old Hearson, who has spent more than 40 years as a nurse, midwife and health visitor, revealed that the couple had been married for years and were wondering why no babies were coming.

Turned out they didn’t know how to make babies – as in they didn’t know they needed to “do it” to procreate.

So Hearson found herself giving the lowdown on the birds and the bees to an adult couple.

“They genuinely thought babies arrived as a result of simply ‘being married’ and had no clue. Teaching someone about sex is quite a responsibility. But within a couple of visits, the pair couldn’t keep their hands off each other,” she said.

This is just one of the fascinating stories that Hearson revealed in her book, Handle With Care: Confessions of an NHS Health Visitor.

Another riveting experience Hearson encountered was when, as a health visitor, she had to assist a couple in a sex offenders’ course they had to take. In this case, the 20-something boyfriend was the sex offender. while Hearson was discussing the partner’s course to his girlfriend, he started to masturbate right there on the sofa.

Being a professional, Hearson carried on as if it was a natural thing. She kept on talking with her back turned to the guy. The girlfriend, too, just carried on as is he wasn’t there.
