“Martial Arts Karen” Threatens Drug Store Staff With “Kung-Fu Moves” When Asked To Wear A Mask

“Karens” seem to have sprouted everywhere, with grocery stores being one of the frequent places. In this case, this Karen appeared in a drug store, but what made it somehow more amusing is the fact that she tried some “martial arts moves” on one of the store staff.

The incident took place in a Shoppers Drug Mart store in Toronto, Canada. The black woman, who is now known as “Martial Arts Karen,” went inside the store without a mask on her face.

According to a witness who posted about the incident on Reddit, “Martial Arts Karen” became angry when the store manager and staff told her that she needed to wear a mask in order to access the store.

The woman started to make racist remarks towards the manager, who was Asian. She then started to physically attack the manager with what she called “kung-fu moves.”

“I know you know martial arts, so do I,” said Martial Arts Karen, as she made a series of kicks and chops while saying “hi-yaaa” to the manager.

The manager, who appeared to be unhurt, demanded the Karen to leave the store and warned her about coming back.

“I just used you to demonstrate to the f***ing officers I know martial arts,” the woman replied.

To make matters worse, the woman pulled out a wad of tissue that supposedly has her blood on it and threatened the manager with it.

“Now, there’s my f-ing blood. Do you want to come next to me again? F- off,” she yelled.

She eventually left the store while still yelling stuff as she walked out.

One of the comments on Reddit asked if Karens include black women, in which someone replied: “Karen’s can be any race. They just tend to be middle-aged to old white women.”

The usual “Karens” seen on videos are mostly white middle-aged women, which prompted the question from the Redditor.
