"I've never seen anything like it. All the other bidders were a bit shocked," admitted the property agent.
An 8-year-old boy in Australia recenently made headlines after buying – not just one or two – but five properties at an auction. Now he’s making a name for himself as one of the youngest property developers in the world!
According to reports we’ve gathered online, Michael Hamdan managed to outbid six individuals as he acquired the Juno Parade property cluster for the price of AU $970,000. He was the first one to place a bid and he led the auction from start to end, eventually emerging as the successful bidder.
Of course, the youngster didn’t go to the auction alone and he didn’t spend his own money to buy the properties.
Apparently, he was with his father – who’s a property developer himself. He was there to support and mentor Michael so he can learn more about having a career in property development.
In a RealEstate.com.au feature, Mark Saleh, the agent who sold the property, said the boy’s presence in the bidding caught everyone by surprise.
“I’ve never seen anything like it. All the other bidders were a bit shocked,” he shared.
Meanwhile, Michael’s dad said he hopes this experience will “build up (the boy’s) confidence,” pointing out that its the kid who does the decisions.
The supportive father also added:
“The property market is difficult to get into, I wanted to train my son up… we saw this as a good investment. I’m trying to teach him everything I know.”
So yes, the young property developer may still have much to learn but we believe that through his dad’s guidance and expertise, he’ll go a long way in this industry.
In fact he’s already off to a good start as early as now and we’re pretty sure he’ll only get better and better in the years to come.
