Michigan Couple Finally Welcomes Baby Girl After Having 14 Boys

An overjoyed couple from Michigan has just welcome a new addition in their family – their first baby baby girl after having 14 sons in a row. 45-year-old mother Kateri Schwandt gave birth to baby Maggie Jayne last November 4, Wednesday.

According to her husband Jay, also 45, they tied the knot way back in 1993 and didn’t expect it would take them this long to have their first daughter.

In an interview with the Detriot Free Press, the proud dad shared:

“We are overjoyed and beyond excited to add Maggie Jayne to our family. This year has been memorable in so many ways, for so many reasons, but Maggie is the greatest gift we could ever imagine.”

Tyler, the Schawndt’s eldest son, also said:

“My parents were finally blessed with the little girl they never thought they’d end up having… I don’t even know if my mom owns any pink clothing or anything.”

The couple’s other sons are Zach, Drew, Brandon, Tommy, Vinny, Calvan, Gabe, Wesley, Charlie, Luke, Tucker, Francisco, and Finley.

Meanwhile, Kateri joked that “there’s enough testosterone” in the house to “fill a stadium” after initially learning that she was pregnant again. She likewise remarked that if they finally have a baby girl, she would definitely be “’the most spoiled and protected child her entire life, especially during her teenage years.”
