The unsolved mystery of the Crooked Forest in Poland featured in this beautiful photo series.
There are far too many mysteries in this world that we have yet to see and discover. Some of them hidden in the most unlikely places, strange and astounding in their own ways while others remain unsolved even up to this day.
One of which is found in Central Europe.
A small grove of pine trees situated outside Nowe Czarnowo, West Pomerania, Poland stands out because of its peculiarity–with around 400 trees growing with a 90-degree bend at their base and most of them facing North. These oddly-shaped pines commonly known as the “Crooked Forest” were planted around 1930. Several theories were made about it such as gravitational pull, heavy snow and enemy tanks but without evidences to support them.
Meanwhile, photographer Kilian Schönberger was able to capture its mystical and bizarre beauty in his amazing photo series. Check out some of the images below.
