U.F.O. sighting videos gained millions of views online but no, it wasn't a flying saucer!
Just this week, several videos of a suppossed sighting of an unidentified flying object (U.F.O.) made rounds on social media. Several clips were shared on TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms showing New Jersey residents stopping by the roadside to film what seems to be a “flying saucer” floating in the sky.
Well we couldn’t blame them, right? It’s 2020 and with all the crazy things this year has brought us, it wouldn’t be a surprise if the aliens finally revealed themselves to us in broad daylight.
But no, the fact of the matter is this: it wasn’t really a U.FO. According to an Insider article, the mysterious ship was actually just a Goodyear Blimp.
A Goodyear spokesperson confirmed this with the website saying that the company flew a blimp “in New York City and northern New Jersey on Monday evening,” reported Insider.
The purpose, of course, was to capture aerial videos of the football match between the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers. The game was held in East Rutherford’s MetLife Stadium.
So yes, sorry to disappoint all the alien enthusiasts out there but this isn’t the year (so far).
Although sure, some of us would remember that just a month ago, the Department of Defense has declassified three leaked videos of U.F.Os from 2004 and 2015, right? Well as the X-Files tagline always reminds us: the truth is out there.
