Pacquiao Is “The Best Fighter I Ever Fought,” Says Floyd Mayweather Jr

In the Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast, boxing star Floyd Mayweather Jr named Manny Pacquiao as “the best fighter” he ever fought.
Mayweather and Pacquiao faced in a 2015 bout where the former was declared the winner by unanimous decision after 12 rounds.
Although he has already quit competing, Mayweather is set to return to the boxing ring for an exhibition match with YouTube celebrity Logan Paul on June 6.

American boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr. has just admitted that Filipino boxing icon Manny Pacquiao was actually the “best fighter” he ever faced in the ring.

In the Million Dollaz Worth of Game show, Gillie Da King and Wallo267 interviewed Mayweather for the podcast and asked about the most memorable opponents in his entire career.

“The best fighter I ever fought probably was Manny Pacquiao,” the 44-year-old star confessed. “It’s because of his movement. He’s a hell of a fighter and I can see why he won so many fights and I can see why he’s going down as a hall of famer. It’s just certain moves he makes.”

The Mayweather vs Pacquiao bout happened in May 2015 and it was dubbed as the Fight of the Century. Mayweather defeated Pacquiao after 12 rounds via unanimous decision.

“He’s a hell of a fighter. I take my hat off to Manny Pacquiao,” added the champion from Grand Rapids, Michigan. “Now I see why he’s one of the guys at the pinnacle.”

After their fight, Mayweather walked away with a 48-0 record. He went to win two more boughts after that, claiming a perfect 50 wins and 0 losses, along with 27 knockouts.

Aside from Pacquiao, Mayweather also mentioned other unforgettable boxers he fought with as he competed from 1996 to 2015.

“The roughest fighter probably was a guy named Emmanuel Augustus,” he shared. “The drunken master was tough. He was just tough. Miguel Cotto was very, very, physically strong. You got different fighters. Different days you feel different ways. Some days you can go over there and you may not feel that good, but you go over there and look superb.”

Mayweather is scheduled to return to the ring for an exhibition match against YouTuber Logan Paul on June 6.
