Anti-Masker Ripped Off Uber Driver’s Mask and Coughed In His Face

• The driver reminded Arna to wear a mask and things went ugly after that.

24-year-old Arna Kimiai recently made headlines after attacking an Uber driver. As seen in a viral video, she ripped off the driver’s mask and even coughed on him.

An arrest warrant has since been issued and she has been booked into the San Francisco County Jail. She was charged with felony attempted robbery and assault, along with misdemeanor battery and health code violation.

Another passenger named Malaysia King, 24, was earlier arrested in Las Vegas. Hours later, Kimiai said she will also surrender. Prosecutors eventually dropped conspiracy and robbery charges against Kimiai. She has also posted bail and is currently awaiting for her court date.

In the video, Kimiai was seen with two friends but didn’t have a mask on as she hopped in the Uber ride. When driver Subhakar Khadka reminded her to wear a mask, she taunted him by coughing in his direction. She also grabbed his mobile device and ripped his mask off his face.

In a media interview, Khadka said:

“I never said anything bad to them, I never cursed, I was not raised that way. I don’t hit people, I am not raised that way, so they were not getting out of my car.”

He also lamented:

“If I was another complexion, I would have not gotten that treatment from them. The moment I opened my mouth to speak, they realized I’m among one of them, so it’s easy for them to intimidate me.”

The women later left the vehicle but one of them returned and pepper sprayed the open passenger window.
