He even made his own homemade T-Rex vehicle.
If you happen to be in Arayat in the province of Pampanga, Philippines, you may encounter a strange-looking three-wheel orange vehicle that kinda looks like one of those Campagna T-Rex cars.
Except that this is totally homemade created by a local man who makes cool-looking vehicles for persons with disabilities.
Rogelio Baldo is a former OFW (Overseas Filipino Worker) who has worked in Japan as a welder in shipyards. When he finished his contract, he was able to earn enough money to build his own shop in the Philippines in case he couldn’t find work in abroad anymore.
His fascination for unusual toys started when he was child. Eventually, he was able to work on his own motorcycle, which he tinkered on until it looked like a rudimentary version of a big bike – like a barebones Harley.
From there, Rogelio started making custom vehicles, mostly motorcycles with sidecars and small motor vehicles. But what he really prides himself on was working on custom vehicles for disabled people.
Rogelio was able to make sidecars that can accommodate wheelchairs, so PWDs can go on motor rides without any trouble. He adds sidewheels to ready-made motorcycles to enable PWDs to ride on them.
He also made a four-wheel vehicle in which a person on a wheelchair can easily slip in from a motorized door at the back and access the steering wheel easily.
He uses different types of motors to suit his customer’s specifications. For the body, he can use fiberglass with awesome paint jobs that will make the vehicle stand out from the province’s peaceful streets.
His pride and joy is the homemade version of the T-Rex, which he made for his personal use. He started building the vehicle after he came home from Japan. He worked on it diligently, using the original T-Rex as inspiration and then incorporating his own designs with it.
He produced an orange “mini car” that attracts attention whenever he goes. He revealed that people would take pictures and videos of the car.

Rogelio definitely made great use of his talents to create cool mini vehicles that will benefit all types of passengers, able-bodied or with disability. For those interested to have one especially made by Rogelio, he has a Facebook page where people can easily contact him.
