Abandoned Russian Tunnels Have Been Hiding Secret That Only Few People Got to See

This psychedelic, natural phenomenon underneath Yekaterinburg, Russia is unknown to most people. A colorful salt mine exists, and in order to get in, one must secure a permit from the Russian government.

Hundreds of feet below Yekaterinburg, a Russian city, is a place for the curious which is awe-inspiring and totally mind blowing. This ‘something’ used to be a salt mine that upon seeing what it looks like now, you would hardly believe that it is actually real. Now, the salt mine is a colorful and psychedelic underground cave that should already be considered a tourist spot if it weren’t prohibited by the Russian government.

The salt mines are located approximately 650 feet below the surface of Yekaterinburg.

The reason for existence of the colorful cave is the effect of the natural layers of a carnallite. The said mineral causes the formation of colored rocks, from yellow to white to blues and red hues. The creation of colorful swirls in the cave is so artistic that it can inspire artists to come up with their own artworks.
