Romantic Guy Proposes To His Girlfriend By ‘Hacking’ Her Favorite Disney Movie

Sthuthi David had no idea her life was going to change the moment she walked into a theater with her longtime boyfriend Lee Loechler. They were there to watch ‘Sleeping Beauty,’ her favorite Disney movie, but she didn’t know he prepared a romantic surprise for her.

Apparently, Lee ‘hacked’ the animated movie several months before their date.

With the help of artist Kayla Coombs, he tweaked the scene where Prince Philip kisses the sleeping Princess Aurora.

Instead of that, we see Prince Lee pulling out a box with a ring for Princess Sthuti. And it proved to be a very special moment, judging from her epic reaction!

Later on, we get to see the animated Princes Lee toss the box to his real-life counterpart. He then catches it, drops on his knee, and then finally pops the golden question.

“It’s not every day you get to propose to your high school sweetheart,” he told her in front of the other cinema-goers, who were actually composed of their friends and loved ones.

A filmmaker by profession, Lee shared he had the initial idea years ago when he suggested to a friend planning to propose to his girlfriend that they insert him into her favorite film “Forrest Gump.”

Fortunately, Lee’s friend didn’t use his idea. “He didn’t think it was right for him, so I filed it away for later use,” Lee told BoredPanda.

It proved to be worth the wait as Lee’s proposal video eventually achieved viral fame after receiving, as of this writing, more than 5 million views.
