Shut up and take ALL of my money!
Japan is always a wonderful place to visit. No wonder it’s a place that’s on the travel bucket list of many. Its magnificent culture, wonderful people, and scrumptious delicacies are only a few of the reasons why the Land of the Rising Sun is an extremely popular tourist destination.
Sure, moving around Japan isn’t a problem, thanks to its efficient transportation system and the world-famous shinkansen. Still, you can always count on the Japanese people to take everything a notch higher. You see, in May this year, a new fun and luxurious way of traveling in Japan will be unveiled.
Say hello to the Train Suite Shiki-Shima, a luxurious train armed with posh, two-story suites, panoramic observation cars, and devilishly delicious food.
The train is the brainchild of Ken Kiyoyuki Okuyama, an expert in the automobile industry who has done design work for numerous brands such as Porsche, Ferrari, and Maserati. Now, Okuyama has created something definitely bigger and better than any of his previous works.
The train consists of ten cars and has a fine dining restaurant, a bar, a lovely lounge, two observatory cars, and 17 private suites, with each suite being able to accommodate a maximum of two people. Each two-storey suite boasts a glorious bed, a shower and toilet, and a storage space. Some suites even have a bathtub!
Photos of the train’s luxurious interior have been released by East Japan Company. Take a look:
But of course, luxury doesn’t come cheap. You’d have to be willing to spend about 320,000 yen or US$2,900 per person for a two-day trip ticket.
So, start saving now.
