Sweetest Husband Surprises His Wife with 500 Roses on Her Last Chemo Treatment!
Brad Bousquet’s wife Alissa received the heartbreaking news that she had breast cancer back in December 2015.
It was during a routine mammogram. “They caught it early, thankfully,” Bousquet said in an interview.
Allisa then underwent four painful months of chemotherapy and just two weeks ago on her last chemotherapy session, she received the sweetest surprise from her loving husband.
Amazed with his wife’s resiliency, Brad Bousquet wrote in a Facebook post, “I wanted to do something special during this last treatment to celebrate the end of her chemo and to show her the tremendous love and support she has from her friends and family.”
Alissa’s two daughters and four close friends made the delivery of the rose baskets which they also shared to every patient receiving chemotherapy that day.
“There was a lot of sick people in that chemo room, and it really lifted everybody’s spirits for the day,” she said.
They have attached a note along with every bouquet that they sent out. Brad captioned the photo he posted:
Another grand gesture they have made was arranging for a florist to sell roses for $10 and for all proceeds to be donated towards breast cancer research, Susan G. Komen, Breast Cancer Foundation.
Brad secretly contacted Alissa’s friends and asked them to help him surprise her by showering her in roses and to his surprise 170 families bought roses and helped raise $4500 for breast cancer research.
The beautiful moment at the Omaha Hospital of Alissa receiving the bouquet of roses was all caught in video and posted in Brad’s profile.
It all just goes to show that if you give love it will all come back to you in the sweetest of ways.
